Region VII Spring 2015 Officer Retreat

The Region VII Officer Retreat is a leadership development program created for Region VII chapter officers. The weekend includes both general and position-specific training designed to help each officer succeed both as an individual leader and as part of a team.

This retreat will be held January 9th-11th, 2015 in Section 43, at the Parrie Haynes Youth Ranch, located at 201 Gann Branch road, Killeen, Texas 76549.

Officers participating will:

  • Establish effective lines of communication internally (as a chapter) and externally (with other chapters, their respective Sections and Region VII).
  • Meet and work with officers with similar responsibilities (i.e. Presidents with Presidents, Pledge Trainers with Pledge Trainers, etc.)
  • Learn about other chapters and how they run their programs. – Share ideas on how to better solve chapter challenges.
  • Better understand the National Fraternity, including structure, paperwork, and more.
Check-in will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday January 9th, 2015 and ends at 1:00pm on Sunday January 11th, 2015.
All participants will be sleeping in cabins with bunk beds and restrooms/showers. Please bring sleeping gear (sleeping bag or sheets/blankets) & toiletries.
Registration fee includes 4 meals (Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Lunch,  Saturday Dinner, Sunday Breakfast, as well as Snacks on Friday and Saturday night), lodging, and all course materials. Attendees who complete the entire Officer Retreat program will receive a special APO-related gift.
If you do not complete the program, your chapter will be responsible for the entire, unsubsidized fee of the event which is $55.00. This includes leaving Officer Retreat early. If you do need to leave early or come late, please e-mail and let us know.
Directions and Packing List will be e-mailed and published on the Facebook Group prior to the retreat.

Retreat fee is $25.00, by December 31st at 11:59pm. Starting January 1st the fee will increase up to $35.00.
